Described by the organisers of St Ives Jazz Club as 'a singular vocalist capable of high power and sweetness' Exeter-based singer Annika Skoogh will be proving this accolade when she appears at Future Inn in Bristol on 27th April with her quartet. Born in South America and raised in Sweden, Annika is making a name for herself on the jazz club and festival circuit as a vibrant and adventurous singer with a natural talent. Singing mainly in English but also in Spanish, Portuguese and her native Swedish, Annika and her band explore mainly jazz standards, Latin and own original material boldly re-imagined for the modern audience.

Her quartet of highly accomplished musicians are; Matt Carter (piano), Al Swainger (electric bass) and Coach York (drums). They are all well respected musicians in their own right and provide the perfect anchor for Annika's assured vocals and together the group produce a passionate and exciting sound. This promises to be a great evening so don't miss this opportunity to catch the quartet live in Bristol.
