Led by critically-acclaimed post-jazz/art pop quartet ISQ, this practical workshop is open to anyone with an interest in Jazz and improvisation.
From learning how to interpret a melody, to experimenting with improvisation and understanding lead sheets, this workshop will give you the basic tools to improve your playing/singing and musicianship and help develop your jazz vocabulary. Vocalists and instrumentalists with experience in Jazz also very welcome.
ISQ are a London-based quartet whose music has been described as "...a melting pot of genres – jazz, pop, acoustic and experimental – which all blend together to entrancing effect..." and were a Time Out London Critics Choice. All the band members are also Jazz educators and teach in various music colleges and universities in London. The workshop will be followed by a separate evening performance where ISQ will be showcasing their highly anticipated third album, “Requiem For The Faithful”.
